Overview

This course is for HR personnel and managers who are required to deal with staff performance, grievance and disciplinary procedures. The training will help participants apply clear guidelines for the successful preparation, conduct and follow up of disciplinary/grievance interviews and HR audits.

It is also designed to enable participants to practise the appropriate skills and receive feedback for future development.

 

Objectives

At the end of this course, you will be able to –

  • Influence the attitudes and behaviour of your staff in driving the organisation forward
  • Understand when to invoke the disciplinary, capability or absence management procedure, the importance of documentation, improvement plans and handling terminations
  • Understand the different types of absence, including sickness absence, unauthorised absence, emergency time off for dependants, domestic absences, maternity related absence, jury service, other public duties, bereavement and
  • Deal with performance issues quickly and promptly limiting the impact on the business
