Course Overview

It’s not easy being a senior manager. In essence, you are the person that connects the organisation strategy to implementation, making your personal impact more important particularly for operational efficiency. You may not be leading people day-to-day but you may be leading teams, have managers sitting below you, and other managers who sit above you. It can be a tricky balancing act offsetting the demands of upper management with the needs of their teams, while also driving performance and facilitating communication across all levels.

Moving further away from the day-to-day work of execution and more into the realms of driving strategy, requires different leadership skills such as emotional intelligence, influencing, collaboration, coaching for growth, and being able to connect talent to strategy.

This Dynamic and Effective Manager course is designed for both new and experienced middle managers and those ready to take on a wider role, and will focus on building skills and competencies to implement strategy, create a productive working environment, effectively oversee work processes and procedures and be able to communicate key ideas within the different levels of the organisation.

Competencies targeted include leadership, management, mentoring, communication, critical thinking and emotional intelligence.

The course will include interactive segments of models and theory, mixed with individual, group and pair work to discuss, self-discover and analyse ideas and how they can be applied in your environment.
